NUTSHELL:  Steven Soderbergh’s drug opus starring everyone in the world

GOOD THINGS:  Script, Direction, Benecio Del Toro en espanol, My boyfriends Don Cheadle and Dennis Quaid, Luis Guzman, a tubby Catherine Zeta-Jones, my girlfriend Salma Hayek

BAD THINGS:  Actual Congresspeople blathering, Michael Douglas, sudden discomforting cameos

FEATURES:  Michael Douglas as an unconvincing parent, Benjamin Bratt, James Brolin, Steven Bauer (!), Amy Irving, Miguel Ferrer, Albert Finney, Marisol Padilla Sánchez, Erika Christensen, Clifton Collins, Jr., Topher Grace, Tomas Milian, Peter Reigert, Jacob Vargas, ladies who lunch, Suburbans by the dozen

UNCOMFORTABLE MOMENTS:  Will fuck for heroin, O.D.s, any moment in which Don Cheadle or Benecio Del Toro are in danger, p.s. executions bum me out.

NOTABLE:  Like most things in the world, is based on an English mini-series

BEST PART:  Benecio doing his manhole inspector schtick
