NUTSHELL:  Romantic foibles of an Elvis Costello fan with a Pavement poster by the door.

GOOD THINGS:  Jack Black, Pavement posters

BAD THINGS:  Vertigo-inducing polyester shirts, Belle and Sebastian jokes

FEATURES:  John Cusack, Tim Robbins, inexplicably Sara Gilbert

UNCOMFORTABLE MOMENTS:  John Cusack breaking the fourth wall

NOTABLE:  Most unattractive female lead in recent memory

BEST PART:  Hippie getting the patchouli kicked out of him

BEST LINE:  That’s a Cosby sweater!

CROWNS:  3 out of 5
