MOVIE:  Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

NUTSHELL:  Kazakh reporter Borat goes to New York to investigate how his country can benefit from emulating the U.S., then discovers Pamela Anderson and heads cross country to enslave her.

GOOD THINGS:  Sacha Baron Cohen, A bear in an ice cream truck, naked wrestling at a real estate seminar

BAD THINGS:  Scary citizens, rodeo, falling horse, shit in a bag

FEATURES:  Ken Davitian as Azamat, Luenell, David Hasselhoff, the Bundys, hooker with third billing!

UNCOMFORTABLE MOMENTS:  Some Americans makes me sigh sometimes.

NOTABLE:  I think the HBO things are much funnier, maybe because they are fundamentally plotless and so don’t have the weight of trying to move action forward.

BEST PART:  Borat learning to be cool.

BEST LINE:  Is that a cat in a hat?

CROWNS:  3 out of 5
