MOVIE: Chicago

NUTSHELL: One song and dance lady and one wannabe commit heat of passion murders and find themselves in the big house trying to play the press and courts to get off.

GOOD THINGS: Catherine Zeta Jones… meow meow, Richard Gere who I spent my life hating and now that he’s like 60 he’s a sexy beast to me, Queen Latifah, Lucy Liu, Taye Diggs (yay!) and no John Travolta

BAD THINGS: Watching Renee Zellweger sing and dance made me nervous she was gonna pop a vein or something.

FEATURES: John C. Reilly doing his thing, Christine Baranski doing her thing, Colm Feore, Dominic West, Mýa Harrison, Chita Rivera, Deirdre Goodwin, Ekaterina Chtchelkanova, Denise Faye, Susan Misner, anachronisms

UNCOMFORTABLE MOMENTS: When it got award after award and I didn’t understand why.

NOTABLE: Renee Zellwegger deserves some kind of medal of valor for standing up next to Catherine Zeta Jones – not to mention singing and dancing next to her!

BEST PART: There are some snappy tunes and I like that sassy Queen Latifah.

BEST LINE: Ladies and Gentlemen, a tapdance

CROWNS: 3 out of 5
